Insight Australia Named a Microsoft Mixed Reality ADR for HoloLens 2

Mixed-reality solutions that run on HoloLens help businesses improve productivity and enable workforce collaboration and innovation.

SYDNEY, Australia, February 18, 2021 -- Insight Enterprises Australia (NASDAQ:NSIT), the global provider of Intelligent Technology Solutions™ for organisations of all sizes, today announced it has been named a Microsoft Mixed Reality Authorised Direct Reseller (ADR) for Australia to offer Microsoft HoloLens 2™,delivering an immersive mixed reality experience enhanced by the reliability, security, and scalability of Azure.

HoloLens 2, coupled with software solutions is a hands-free computer that goes where you go, sees what you see, and does what you say. It displays a layer of digital information on top of your real world by rendering high-definition holograms that stay where you put them and respond like physical objects when you interact with them.

“The industry of mixed reality has well and truly arrived and companies today are using mixed reality solutions to innovate and improve efficiencies and collaboration. Microsoft HoloLens 2 now gives users the ability to enhance the way they work, from enabling technicians in the field to complete remote projects to medical companies training doctors on the use of their instruments,” said Mike Morgan, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Insight APAC. “Insight Australia’s status as a Microsoft Mixed Reality ADR is the perfect complement to our expertise in digital innovation and creating meaningful employee experiences that radically expand how people work, collaborate and deliver outcomes.”

Globally, Insight’s Mixed Reality team bring deep knowledge in mixed, augmented and virtual reality experience design and application development. Microsoft HoloLens can be cleanly integrated into existing business systems to bring ideas and information to life with 3D holograms.

“We are experiencing a wide number of cases in which the usage of Mixed Reality technology such as Microsoft HoloLens 2 and it’s surrounding solutions are the key cornerstone for digital transformation in the enterprise area and public sector. The expansion of our partnership with Insight to the Australia region will become a driver to enhance the implementation of people centric solutions engineered by Mixed Reality.” said Jessica Miao, Asia Sales Lead, Mixed Reality Global Sales Team, Microsoft Corporation.
