Insight Canada Ranks #3 Among CDN Top 100 Solution Providers

Insight Canada also receives C4 Award for Diversity and Inclusion at the CDN 2021 Channel Innovation Conference

TEMPE, Ariz., May 3, 2021 – Insight Enterprises (NASDAQ: NSIT), the global integrator of Insight Intelligent Technology Solutions™ for organizations of all sizes, is ranked No. 3 on the Channel Daily News (CDN) 2021 Top 100 Solution Providers within Canada. The rankings were announced Wednesday during the CDN 2021 Channel Innovation Conference and Awards, and Insight Canada also received the C4 Award for Diversity and Inclusion during the event for its commitment to workplace equality.

The CDN Top 100 Solution Providers rankings are based on 2020 revenue submitted by Canada’s leading channel players and are verified by IT business intelligence and analysis leader IDC Canada. In being named No. 3 for a second year in a row, Insight has continued to grow its presence in Canada nationwide following the acquisition of PCM, Inc. in August 2019. The acquisition tripled the size of Insight Canada to more than 900 teammates, with about 550 directly serving the Canada market.

About 50 new teammates have been hired so far in 2021, as Insight continues to introduce its end-to-end capabilities from the U.S. into Canada through multi-vendor solutions that enable digital transformation for small, mid-sized and corporate/enterprise commercial clients; state, local and federal governments; and educational institutions across Canada.

“The past year has been momentous for us. Besides helping our clients rapidly adapt during the pandemic and turn to more digital approaches to conducting business, we made our own significant pivot in fully integrating our PCM teammates, clients and added capabilities,” said John Dathan, senior vice president and general manager, Insight Canada. “In the process, we gained significant momentum and scale in our server and storage business, hybrid cloud and IT modernization, as well as our transformation consulting services to bring much greater value to our clients.”

Creating harmony as one Insight

Culture and collaboration are everything at Insight, based on the company’s hunger, heart and harmony core values. While diversity, equality and inclusion are universal at Insight’s 87 offices worldwide, last year the Canada team faced the unique challenge of acquainting 400 new teammates to the company while transitioning mostly to remote work due to the pandemic just 75 days into the integration.

Critically, PCM Canada was itself the product of five earlier acquisitions, all of which acted as five separate businesses with unique teams, tools, systems and policies. To remotely integrate, in essence, five new companies meant doubling down on diversity and inclusion programs to build team cohesion.

Over the last year, Insight Canada promoted the following initiatives to encourage a single cultural identity and sense of belonging for every teammate:

  • Global Harmony Day: Insight brought teammates together from across the world to share personal stories and invite candid conversations about discrimination, living with disabilities, and overcoming other workplace barriers.

  • Fund-Ed: In partnership with the Insight In It Together Foundation, the company’s 501(c)(3) non-profit program, this new program provides stipends to selected diverse teammates to pay for student loans or help them enroll in college classes.

  • Allyship education: Insight provides monthly awareness training on traditionally taboo topics, including but not limited to privilege, racism, sexism, ableism and unconscious biases.

  • He/him, she/her, they/them: Through consultation from our LGBTQ teammate resource group, Insight Stands Out, the company is working to help non-binary and trans-teammates feel more included and remove awkward conversations by including gender-inclusive pronouns in company email signatures and internal online profiles.

  • Diversity and Inclusion Mentoring Program: Insight is aware that some teammates often find it more difficult to network and find the skills development they are looking for professionally. To help them grow professionally, Insight has launched a mentoring program specifically for teammates taking part in eight diversity resource groups, matching them to volunteer mentors throughout the organization’s North America business.

Insight Canada debuted this year on the 2021 Montréal's Top Employers list and Insight also was recognized at No. 7 in the information technology services industry among the Fortune 2021 World’s Most Admired Companies and No. 9 among IT companies on the Forbes 2021 America’s Best Employers for Diversity. The company also maintains one of the most gender-diverse executive teams in technology. Insight scored 95 out of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index for LGBTQ–inclusive business practices.

CDN’s rankings and a 2021 benchmark featuring a detailed analysis of the top 100 corporate submissions, including Insight, along with the C4 award for diversity and inclusion, are now available on ChannelDailyNews.com.
