An enterprise business that builds resort-style retirement communities in Canada faced this challenge. It struggled with multiple brands and types of data center technology across its 60 residences.
Due to a lack of standardization in its IT infrastructure, the company experienced near-constant outages that caused operational problems. Despite repeated attempts by its IT department to pinpoint the source of the outages, the business was unable to fix the problem.
And, with so many residences to manage, the company’s internal resources couldn’t support the amount of work required to maintain operations. Having a network of non-standardized devices also resulted in several security gaps, leaving important internal information at risk of a security breach.
The client is currently in a time of growth, expanding across Canada and moving into American and Asian markets.

To make the deployment process quick and easy, Insight created a customized Supply Chain Optimization solution. We also stored the Meraki devices in our warehouse so they were ready when the client needed them, resulting in faster uptime.
With the Meraki solution installed, the client is able to manage dozens of locations on a single computer — a task considered impossible before. It’s now easier for the organization‘s internal IT teams to manage current and future residences.
